According to The Hollywood Reporter, the latest Avengers film, Avengers: Endgame, has done exceedingly well at the box office, especially in China, where it earned approximately $200,000,000 already. The Reporter claims the movie is currently on track to secure a $300,000,000 weekend, far above the original expectations.

By early-Friday in Beijing time, the movie had already passed the $200 million mark, making it, easily, the most successful movie thus far in the series. Already, Avengers is the most successful franchise of all time, and the final installment of the series has appeared to end it with a bang.

On Wednesday, Endgame was released in China, approximately two days before the United States release. The movie smashed the all-time single-day record of $85,000,000, held by the 2019 film, Monster Hunt 2. Initially, the analysis predicted the film would earn $270,000,000 in five days, but in less time, it earned more money.

Apparently, raving word of mouth reviews among Chinese people has pushed the movie to success. Thus far, the biggest America-made movies in China include Avengers: Infinity War, Furious 7, and The Fate Of The Furious.

Now, it’s looking like the latest Avengers movie is going to far surpass all of the other aforementioned record breakers. Apparently, Maoyan, a Chinese forecasting company, predicts the movie will generate $521,000,000 in China alone during its full run.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie will likely earn close to a billion in its starting week. While action movies are still popular in the United States, foreign markets, especially China, have continued to grow, meaning, that Hollywood film-makers are increasingly geared to international box offices.

As it was mentioned above, another series to score big wins in China is the Fast and The Furious franchise, which has made Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson some of the biggest stars in Hollywood as well as the world right now.

Dwayne is now arguably the world’s biggest movie star, even surpassing the likes of Tom Cruise. Although, one could argue that, during Tom Cruise’s hey-day, the world in which Hollywood films could succeed was much smaller.
